It's raining. The weather is surprisingly like California - not predictable at all. Seasons? Bah, why listen to seasons. Supposedly the weather here is known for constantly changing. No two days are the same practically. They do seem to have an affinity for bowling here, perhaps we'll bowl. A good indoor sport. Plus, something I can beat Kane at (thank you Holiday Bowl).
The first time we went to Holiday Bowl together (Kane and I), we bowled a few games. I beat him the first, then the second and then he said, "we're not leaving until I beat you". after the fourth of fifth game, he gave up and agreed I was better at bowling than he was. Which is funny because I'm not actually very good at all, I usually get around 110 or so. But Kane happens to be worse. I think it's the only thing that I'm better at than he is, so you don't have to feel sorry for him or anything.
Ok, we're going to mope around in the rain today. Sitting in our apartment watching Heroes Season 1 (excellent, by the way). Our laptops come Monday, so, should be able to steal some library internet next week and blog a little more. Until then, have a good weekend.

I think it is time you went to see a kangaroo.

and you'll see.
I like Heroes, too. T'was a good show. Drags on a bit like a soap opera but me likem. Hiro Nakamura and Peter Petrelli are my faves cuz they have the best powers and they are nice guys.
Bye for now :)
That's funny, Peter Patrelli is our favorite too, we were just talking about that the other night. The power of persuasive speech that that girl Eden had (she died) was cool too.
Yes! You're watching Heroes! I knew my sheer dorkitude would diffuse into you guys eventually. All the powers are great, but really, if you could bend space/time, what else would you need. Flying? Screw that I can just teleport.
Sounds like you guys are doing great. I'll get unlazy here soon and put Skype on my compy.
There are a few powers that are fairly useless and boring by themselves such as not dying (Claire) or bleeding from your eyes and killing everyone around you (Mexican girl) or being able to mellow her out to keep her from killing everyone (her brother) or psycho split personality (Nicki). Those only become useful powers when somebody possesses all of them together like Peter or Sylar. I think Sylar is a good bad guy. When does season 3 start? Or is the writer's strike gonna delay that?

I disagree about Claire's power. I'd love to jump off of 10 story buildings, freak people out, then walk waya after my legs un-broke themselves. Not dying or getting hurt is a snowboarders dream. Now I'll agree that mexican girl and guy's powers are odd at best. Interesting but absolutely useless unless you're a super jerk. But perhaps the brother could bring anyone back to life. Nikki is a berserker, she's got super strength. She just so happened to be schizo as well. If she was under control of her problems, punching holes through concrete walls could also be very uselful. Just happens that she is worthless, not her power.
Damn, I'm bored. I need better things to do to consume my time.
Some powers certainly seem more useful than others. You know which one is cool that I forgot? Walking through walls like DL (Niki's husband) - that would be helpful all the damn time.
And you're right eric, bending space/time would be the best, but I hate that crap on TV shows because there are too many problems with time travel that make it not make any sense. So, it just kind of always pisses me off. In star trek too. Anyway, we need to finish off the first season still...
I'm not sure if the 2nd season is out on DVD yet here either.
I believe you can watch Season 2 for free on NBC's website. I know Henry watched it online somehow.
You know, they have seemed to handle the space/time thing fairly well. I won't ruin anything for you, but they've done very well at avoiding paradox.
